First, keep it simple. Climbing is a kind of exercise, so if you have sportswear, you’re ready to go. Shoes can be rented at almost any rock climbing site, and we recommend using your own instead of your own. Mountaineering clothing must have the following characteristics: –

In any indoor climbing What top to wear ?

Any t-shirt or sports top goes well with it. Ideally, it should not be too loose so as not to obstruct or pinch the belay unit. Long sleeves help prevent scratches and bumps. Expect a lot from this the first few times. The perfect choice for men is a T-shirt that is tight-fitting, stretchy, breathable, and sweat-wicking. For women, use the same or oversized tank top and sports bra for more breathability.

What kind of pants to wear in Indoor Climbing
Yoga shorts or pants are perfect for the first time wearing them. Shorts should not be too short and could get stuck under the harness and be annoying. Just above the knee is perfect. You’ll be pounding your shins and scratching the wall with your knees, so think of a capri or something else that offers a little bit of protection.
Helpful Hint: Being able to see your feet really helps with footwork. Climbing is more about starting than pulling by hand.
If you enjoy climbing, we recommend purchasing climbing pants. Climbing pants are usually slightly baggy, have a wider crotch with pleats, can be rolled up, and are breathable and durable. It’s great for protecting your feet and is especially comfortable for the first time out.

Can I wear climbing jeans?
Yes. You will see a few people climbing or bouldering in skinny jeans. You might be wondering how people do this without restricting their movement. The answer is Lycra (also known as elastane or spandex). There are a few specially designed climbing jeans with extra stretch and a crotch fold. This will create a large split, which will prevent you from pulling too hard on your legs when climbing.
Several major brands offer stretch denim that is not for climbing. Stretch jeans can be purchased online or at most major stores for quite a bit of money. We’re big fans because a pair of jeans gives you the protection and stretch you need when climbing casually. What you wear when climbing indoors depends on how comfortable you are.

What to wear in Indoor Climbing – Climbing Shoes
Climbing shoes are available for rental at most indoor climbing gyms. They have sticky rubber on the outsole to help get a better grip on the hold. They should also fit snugly and your toes may curl a little in the front. Try the first few rentals to get used to the look and feel.
It is useful to have comfortable shoes on hand when using the toilet. Go to the bathroom in hiking boots and never sit on a wall again! When you hire a climber, you may see people wearing crocodiles or slippers. Climbing shoes can be very uncomfortable, so we recommend taking them off between climbs. Do you wear socks with your climbing boots?

If you are going to borrow shoes, say yes. Climbing boots are designed to fit snugly and provide a better grip, allowing them to be worn without socks. However, many were sweating in borrowed shoes. What should I pack for indoor climbing?
If you signed up for presentations, tastings, and courses, you probably won’t need to bring any equipment other than clothes. Seat belts, fall arresters, chalk and other climbing equipment are usually provided. You can start with these three basic principles.
Water Bottles – Don’t buy single-use plastic, get cool reusable bottles and fun stickers
Snacks – Protein bar or nut or fruit mix for energy

Indoor Climbing – What Not to Wear
We are not going to tell you what to do with your body. But keep in mind that when people see you in the gym, they perform either from above or from below. Keep things free during this awkward movement.
The short shorts are surprisingly unlimited, but may not be ideal. It is common to sit back on the leg loops when wearing the harness. Shorts can clump under the collar and can be uncomfortable when using a tight harness. That said, a good harness can be really comfortable and, once addicted, it’s worth the investment.
